“The Yellow Storm” and “The Unyielding People” belong to the anti-fascist war literary achievements commonly, and the two works were written in their national consciousness in the process of resisting against foreign aggression. The unique and common feature is that writers focused on the ordinary families in occupied regions involved in the war rather described intense, fierce and grand battlefields. Writers applied it to perceive the cruelty, perseverance and resistance of another battlefield, thus presenting the war theme. China’s “Four Generations” and the Soviet “three generations” have different choice between family and country facing serious time of life-and-death for the nations.Same as war literature, it’s natural to write war and describe the cruelty of war, the baseness of invaders, the stubborn of resisters and the frustration and compromise of those who subordinated, and portray the resistance consciousness and the patriotic passion of their people, which two works have in common in subject. The difference is that “The Yellow Storm” has a profound reflection on Chinese family culture, it has a thorough discussion on Chinese society which was once under Japanese aggression and experienced cultural change at the same time. And various figures in the four generations just reflect the turbulent Chinese society under the war in which old and new ideas collide fiercely. But “The Unyielding People” reflects the humanistic concern of the Soviet Union in the unique context. Under the high pressure and the cruel environment of the war, Soviet people in the occupied area show the humanistic concern which inherits traditions and has new historical connotation in the process of resisting in which families are united and unyielding. In the aspect of the characters’ values, several representative figures in the “The yellow Storm” have huge differences on the values of family-and-nation, and there is a transitional situation on family-to-nation from the elders who inherits blood relationship of family to the youth accepting new ideas. In “The Unyielding People”, there is a high consistence between father and sons on the values of family-and-nation. From family leaders to youth to young children, they all maintain a fairly consistent on it to resist the enemy courageously and defend the nation. On the presenting tactics of the text, Two works both grand and in neat formation on construction. They both have epic scale and style, and there is a feature of great on time span and characters’ fates. On the terms of style of the works, “The Yellow Storm” has a high degree of realism in that the writer made deep and detailed characterizations on Peking in occupation of the enemy. “The Unyielding People” has much more passion, and the resounding and high-spirited breath undoubtedly bring great confidence for the occupied people. Because of the rich experience in the war or the lack of it, two writers have different presentation on the cruelty of the war. One reappear intuitively, another from the perspective of culture. In this paper, the research methods of close reading and parallel comparison will be used. And explore the above content, trying to analyze the influence of the factors on the ideology, the time and space, the cultural tradition and author’s experience on the text behind the same and the differences. In order to treat war literature of the two countries in mutual reference, and strengthen literary and cultural exchange between the two countries.
