A Study Of Application Of Split Screen Montage In Animation

The audio-visual language of film and television art is the homework that the animation worker studies all his life. It has great significance and utility value that studying the techniques of it. Split screen montage is a special audio-visual language techniques, in the current academic literature, there is a lack of in-depth and detailed exploration of this practical technique. This paper firstly defined the conception of split screen montage, demonstrated the similarities and differences between animation and film, as well as particularity of animation audio-visual language. Secondly, according to the in-depth analysis of some representative works of animation, I studied the application of split screen montage in animation. Meanwhile, analyzing some representative films played a supplementary and referential role. At last, I expected the development prospects of audio-visual language of animation and the technique of split screen montage, that is, for the development of audio-visual language, technological progress is the underlying driving force, and with the further development of technical means, the system of audio-visual language will be further improved. In mutual reference, the technical means of animation and film will be fused gradually. Split screen montage will be more widely used in various types of animation and film.
