The paper is based on the unearthed literature, which is the inscriptions on the bronze of the East Zhou Dynasty. An exhaustive statistics inspection has been made on the pronoun emerged in the bronze of the East Zhou Dynasty, from two dimensions between the theoretical principles and corpus. And the research in different categories has been conduct from the syntax, pragmatics and comparative perspective.There are 26 pronouns in the bronze of the East Zhou Dynasty. According to the function, they can be divided into three groups:personal pronouns (13), demonstrative pronouns (16), interrogative pronouns (2). Each of the group has several subdivisions. The personal pronouns can be refined into the first personal pronouns, the second personal pronouns, the third personal pronouns and reflexive pronoun. The demonstrative pronouns can be refined into the near demonstrative pronouns, the far demonstrative pronouns and the fingerless pronouns. The interrogative pronouns don’t need be subdivided, because of its few amount.The paper gives a static description about the usage, syntactic and text pragmatics of each group. We discuss the quantity, frequency, syntax function, number, discourse deixis and the function of modesty and respect of the personal pronouns. And we analysis the quantity, frequence, syntax function and discourse deixis of the demonstrative pronouns. We also covers the development of the reflexive pronoun, the fingerless pronouns and the interrogative pronouns in the Zhou Dynasty.The paper also presents the dynamic comparison among three pronoun systems of different literatures, that is, the bronze of the West Zhou Dynasty, the bronze of the East Zhou Dynasty and the contemporary handed-down literature. And we summarize the development of pronoun system from quantity, frequency, syntactic and text pragmatics.
