A Study On The Construction Of "Zhe Yi X Buyaojin, Y"

This paper mainly studies the modern Chinese structure“Zhe yiX buyaojin,Y”(这一X不要紧,Y)which is based on the Construction Grammar Theory.This paper analyzes the construction of the formation,the integration of meaning and its special pragmatic functions based on investigation and analysis of the parts of the construction.It also tries to make a reasonable explanation to the question why the modern Chinese structure“Zhe yiX buyaojin,Y”(这一X不要紧,Y)formed and the functions of expressions.This paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter details the purpose and significance of the research. This part also analyses the current situation and existing problems. Meanwhile, the content,basic research, theoretical methods and corpus source are analyzed.The second chapter analyses every part of the construction“Zhe yiX bu yaojin”(这一X不要紧):variable“X”,constant“zhe”(这),“yi”(一),“buyaojin”(不要紧).In this part,we talk about the universality and individuality of“X”which is made up of nouns,adjectives,verbs,quantifiers;asymmetry of“zhe”(这)and“na”(那)in this construction;the function of“yi”(一);the origin of“buyaojin”(不要紧)and two different meanings of it;the semantic relations with the foregoing when“zhe yi X”(这一X)as anaphora ingredient.The third chapter analyses the part “ Y ”. In this part, we talk about several main types of “ Y ” : sentence with “ ba ”(把), with “ de ”(得), with “ shi ”(使),with “ rang ”(让), with “ VC le O ”(VC 了 O), with “ VshiO ”(V使O)and other types of expression. At the same time, analyses the characteristics of similarities.The fourth chapter discuss the meaning and cognitive basis of this construction.We try to get the constructional meaning“anti-expected”by turning adverbs,unexpected forms of class structure and no other markers;get the constructional meaning“highlight the suffered results”by talking about the asymmetry between the surface and deep semantic meaning of“buyaojin”(不要紧).The last chapter is the conclusion of the innovation and inadequacies.
