Performance Analysis Of Sonata Op.120 No.1 For Clarinet

Johannes Brahms was one of the most important composers in romantic era. His Op.120, No.1 is a representative work not only in classic music, but also in Brahms’ compositions. Consisted of three parts, this paper mainly analyzed the music itself and its playing techniques. Also, specific utilization of these playing techniques was discussed in combination with the author’s practice, and the author’s own understanding about how to play this music was shared, too.It would be helpful for others who play this music to study this music and its playing techniques, which is exactly the purpose of this paper.
