In recent years, the research of the adverd "jiu" and "cai" has became the key points as well as difficulties of the Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,owing to abstraction in their meaning and the flexibility of usage.To overseas students,the adverb "jiu" and "cai" has caused great distress because of the diversity in their meaning respectively and the high frequency in daily communication. In practical teaching, not only for the primary and secondary students, but also for those who have achieved qualification level of advanced Chinese students, errors are also very common phenomenon. In view of this, the paper invetigates each item of adverd "jiu" and "cai" based on the questionnaire survey and with the help of software of interlanguage corpus statistics,to understand the acquisition order and the influence of the native language, finding their learning difficulties and reasons of the errors by using error analysis and comparative analysis.Finally, I will put forward some teaching suggestions according to the causes of the errors.This paper is divided into five parts:Introduction. This chapter explains the purpose and significance of the topic, the methods of the research and the source of the corpus.The first chapter:investigate each meaning of the adverds of "cai" and "jiu". According to the classification of "cai" and "jiu" in Modern Chinese Dictionary and Eight Hunderd Words of Modern Chinese Language, we will sort out the meaning classfication of adverds "cai" and "jiu".The second chapter:investigate the acquisition situation of the adverbs "cai" an"jiu".I will summarize and analyze the data by using questionnaire,statisticing out the acquisition situation of each meaning of adverbs "cai" and "jiu".I will find out cause of error by means of analysising.The third chapter:the analysis of the deviation of the Adverbs "Cai" and "Jiu". Firstly,I will summarize the types of errors in the HSK corpus, and then analyze the students’ mastery of the two adverbs according to the questionnaire.The forth chapter:put forward teaching suggestions for the reason of error.
