This paper advanced new principles, new criteria and new tagging for the corpus insisted of the compositions written by foreign students. The investigation has been testified by three experiments which has achieved satisfactory results.The existing error-classification is not corpus-oriented, therefore, the error-classification criteria is quite different among corpuses when facing the error corpus study.This paper proposed three principles of error-classification of the acquisition of foreign students in Chinese writing. They are practicable, comprehensive, and having arrangement. Guided by these three principles, 4 error categories, 45 error classes has been identified. These 45 error classes are located in punctuation, word, lexical items, sentences, semantics and pragmatics dimensions. In addition, the tagging for the 45 error classes has been designed which was made by the first Pinyin of Chinese name of the error.At last the three experiments confirmed the validation of the classification criteria proposed in this paper, so the real possibility of error classification has been proved.This paper avoided using the error's name such as the names in Modern Chinese Programmer but use the name as'error in word, error in sentences, and error in pragmatics'instead. It has been proved that when dealing with the confusions in semantics and pragmatics this classification method has a better effect. |
