| Russian Far East policy is imperialist policy, which is starting from the middle of the 19th century to 1917 when the Russian October Revolution breaks out. It aims to invade China and North Korea, the ultimate target being to seize hegemony of Russia in the Far East.Through the failure of Russia’s expansion in the near and middle East, the Far East is particularly important for Russian contest for world hegemony. Through Oriental School in domestic of Russia advocacy and because of the Russian capitalism expanding overseas market need, the expansion of invasion of Russia focus on the Far East. In 1892, Russia began to build the Siberian railway, which indicates that the Russian Far East policy eventually becomes Russia’s most important foreign policy. In order to further implement Far East policy and expand the rights of aggression in China, the Qing government sign the "Sino-Russian Secret Treaty" with Russia under the coercion of Russia. Through the "Sino-Russian Secret Treaty", Russia gain the power of build railroads in northeast China and many other privileges, the Russian Far East policy to the climax. But with the development of the Russian Far East policy, the contradiction between Russia and Japan also became gradually intensify.This article around the relation between the Russian Far East policy and "Sino-Russian Secret Treaty".
