The research methods of the anthropology of art require us to study the change of culture with a comparative perspective and under which guidance, a case study in the research object---- Fanjiajing antique porcelain collection and distribution center and Tradition and change-a field survey of Jingdezhen new and old folk kiln industry by researcher Fang Lili in the 1990s---- has been carried out. By a various longitudinal comparison from shop and workshop structure, product category and personnel composition within the antique porcelain community, this paper clarifies the changes in Fanjiajing antique porcelain collection and distribution during nearly two decades and conducts horizontal comparison with the two collection and distribution centers nearby----Shaojiwu and Luojiawu to explore the differences and links between the production and marketing of the same product under the context of globalization.Fanjiajing was just a village of more than 400 handicraft ceramic workshops in the 1990s whereas it has developed to become an integrated market that sets the sales of a variety of antique products in one by now and great changes have taken place in the business model, sales channels and purchase mode. Traditional handicrafts business is no longer confined to the sale of a single product, but converted to a more rich and diverse business model. During this process, those workshops that have mastered the technology, the market and adapted to the globalization trend got good development, whereas, those that do not adapt to the social transformation of disappeared.Under the impact of globalization and modernization, the traditional handicraft industry has been constantly exploring the development model to adapt to the development of the modern times and to meet the demand of a broader market. The modernized development of traditional handicrafts is not just the inheritance and continuation of traditional technology, but also the continuous creation of the tradition.
