Reflections on things at hand (Jinsilu)was compliled by Zhu Xi and lv Zuqian in the Southern Song Dynasty. It has reviewed the development of Neo-Confucianism in Northern Song Dynasty and embodied Zhou Dunyi,Cheng Yi,Cheng Hao,Zhang Zai’s quotations.its logical system with rigorous internal structure from what is metaphysica"Daoti"to how to be Sages, from metaphysics to practical application, from how to improve oneself to be a guide and to others to their life. And the process of complicating Reflections on things at hand made Zhu Xi profoundly aware his cognition of "Daoti".The first chapter in this paper is on the reason of complicating Reflections on things at hand and detail discussion in this process. The first reason of complicating this book is to help beginners know Neo-Confucianism and face challenges from Buddhism. Both of Zhu Xi and Lv Zuqian are highly praise of Zhou Dunyi, Cheng Yi,Cheng Hao,Zhang Zai’academic thoughts. So they decide to complicate a book about their thoughts. The second reason is Neo-Confucianism should be reconstruction under this circumstance. To konw the detail discussion in the process of complicating Reflections on things at hand,I choose from their discussion on "Daoti" and the effort of Lv zuqian. Finally on the basic of analysis to find some compiling principes in this process. Both of lexicographers are Neo-Confucianism,While their viewpoints are not always the same and they have different academic courses. At first Zhu Xi was interested in Buddhism,Taoism,Confucianism, then he turned his interesting only to confucianism, and finally heestablished fundamental frame of Song and Ming Dynasties.lv Zuqian was born in a family of culture kindred, and his thought was mixture of different views. He holds the view of history empiricism. In the complication of Reflections on things at hand, they have some discussions on abstracting documents of Zhou Dunyi,Cheng Yi,Cheng Hao,Zhang Zai’s quotations, such as they focused on how to arrangement "Daoti", "put it in and not","first one or last one".At first Zhu Xi thought "Daoti"was too abstract for beginners,so he wasn’t wiling to put it in the first chapter of Reflections on things at hand, while Lv zuqian’s view is different from Zhu Xi’s,Finally Zhu Xi’s gave up his insist, and recognised Lv Zuqian’s view.Their different points on history and imperial examinations also have effected their complication results of Reflections on things at hand.Lv Zuqian holds the view that history for the Existing Society, while Zhu Xi hold the view that history is what has happened in the past, its guide function is limited.Their imperial examination attitude is also different,Lv zuqian approve of it while Zhu Xi not. There different academic point of view influence what the final Reflections on things at hand is.The first lexicographer of Reflections on things at hand is Zhu Xi,and the second lexicographer of Reflections on things at hand is Lv Zuqian. They have different contribution in complicating this book.Zhu Xi’s philosophy and Confucian view have deeply influenced the system and logic of Reflections on things at hand. The second chapter in this paper focuses on relation between Reflections on things at hand and Zhu Xi’s theory of "Daoti".First,Zhu Xi’s theory of "Daoti" has followed traditional propositions of "harmony between human being and nature", and gives new content meaning to "Daoti".Second, Zhu Xi’s theory of "DaotF" has enriched and developed traditional meaning of "Daoti".The theory of human beings are born with good nature gets new support, and then it will help beginners know ways to learn Confucian thoughts and practice it in their daily life, also how to be sages is included. The traditional propositions of tallied between ontology and function gets new development. Finally,I have a discussion on Zhu Xi’s theory of "Daoti"and Social governance in Reflections on things at hand.
