With many writers involving in and a great number of novels being produced, the Inner Mongolia literature stepped into a flourishing creation of reflective novels after the Cultural Revolution, which is similar to the Chinese literary arena. Setting the Inner Mongolia Chinese reflective novels as study focus, this paper discusses the essential characteristics of these novels from their themes, characters, narration, structures and other aspects.This paper consists of five parts. Introduction defines the concept of study object,outlines the current study status and the method and meaning of this study. The first chapter analyzes the four themes of the Inner Mongolia Chinese reflective novels,namely reflection of the emotional aberration,examination of political distortion of nation and religion, criticism of the ecological environment deterioration and review the difficult elimination of inertia thought,and analyzes the reasons why these themes appear. The second chapter analyzes the characters described in the Inner Mongolia Chinese reflective novels, namely the cadres of opposite personality, the educated youth rising from desperation and ordinary people who are tenacious and open-minded. The third chapter discusses the narrative and structural features of the Inner Mongolia Chinese reflective novels. In terms of structure, the paper analyzes the external structure of past recalling and the inner structure of binary opposition, adopts various structural techniques such as suspense, coincidence and image composing the basic clue. In terms of narration, this paper analyzes omniscient perspective and internal perspective, illustrates its narrative techniques focusing on psychological analysis, the language full of emotion and reason and the narrative style that is of depression and inspiritment. At the end of this paper, it concludes the dual value of Inner Mongolia Chinese reflective novels in enriching contemporary reflective novels and reflecting the historical changes in the district, discusses the limitations of Inner Mongolia Chinese reflective novels in emotion, understanding and style.
