The Research Of Atypia Modal Particle “x Le” In Modern Chinese

“ba le”、“de le” 、“hao le”、“suan le”and “xing le”which are the member of the disyllable particle word family in mandarin will be our research object.From three aspect that are syntax,semantic and function,we will do a systematical and all-round analysis about the three use of “X le ”including the use of particle word.And we will explore the grammaticalization of “ba le”、“de le” 、“hao le”、“suan le”and “xing le”and find out the link of the history and current.There are four chapters in this paper except the opening and the conclusion.We will arrange the first chapter using the scales for membership degree within words to verify "le" words in previous research. We also imitate the scale to make another scale for membership degree within modal adverbs. The second chapter will be arranged to display the development of “X le”words.The next two chapters according to the three use of “X le”words.And the last chapter is the conclusion of this paper.Here is the outline:The first part is the introduction. The introduction summarizes the previous research work and makes comments on it.Besides, the introduction explains the study methods and corpus source.The chapter one is about the property and range of "le" modal adverbs. We use the scales for membership degree within words to verify "le" words in previous research. We also imitate the scale to make another scale for membership degree within modal adverbs. In this way, we determine “ba le”、“de le” 、“hao le”、“suan le”and “xing le” as our subjects. At last, we find these "le " words have different membership degree within modal adverbs.The grammarticallization of the particle word “X le” will be discussed in Chapter2.This section mainly talk about the process of lexicalization and grammaticalization of “ba le”、“de le” 、“hao le”、“suan le”and “xing le”. We also study the mechanism behind their lexicalization and grammaticalization.The “ba le”、“de le” 、“hao le”、“suan le”and “xing le”which are stick to VP orshort sentence to express the mood of abiding and concession will be discussed in Chapter 3.Compare to other “X le”,“ba le”have more differences from each other.We will fully analyze the differences between “X le”on syntax and meanings which contain different orientation and find the functions during expression.The “ba le”、“de le” 、“hao le”、“suan le”and “xing le”which are used single in the beginning of the sentence will be discussed in Chapter 4.We will make a definition and description of “X le”in order to have a deep research on the discourse function.For the similar use and function of “X le”,we mainly point out the commonness of “X le”.The Chapter 5 is the conclusion of this paper,it concludes the main points of previous chapters and describe the deficiency of this thesis.
