The Research Of Qian Yiji And His Poetry

The Qing dynasty is the boom of literature. Many scholars and literal masterpieces appeared.Literature creations has been flourishing during this period. Not only showing the variety of literature works like poem, prose, drama, fiction and so on, but also did gain great achievements. As a famous scholar of the Qing dynasty,Qian Yiji who has made a great contribution to literature. He had been committed to scholarly research during Jiadao period in Qing dynasty. Quite a few excellent works finished by him and is not confined to a certain filed like poem, prose, classical studies, history and so forth. He taught in Guang dong Xuehaitang and Da liang college in his late years,even influenced lots of scholars in the future.This thesis will take Qian Yiji and his poetry as a main studying object.By researching his life and poetry creation style, so as to explore his poetic origins and show his unique contribution in the history of poetry in Qing Dynasty. He was not only a famous poet of Jiaqing and Daoguang period in Qing Dynasty, but also one of the outstanding representatives of the Xiushui poetry. His poems are rich in content, with distinctive artistic characteristics, occupying an important position in poetry of the Qing Dynasty.The full text is divided into five parts, including introduction and four chapters.The introduction part mainly shows the purpose and significance of this paper, introducing the current academic study of Qian Yiji and illustrating the research methods and ideas of this thesis.The first chapter will be focused on studying Qian Yiji’s family, life and social intercourse.Based on current study, exploring the important clue in original literature as much as possible and summarizing his family, life and association activities.The second chapter will research the poetry theme of Qian Yiji.By mainly analysizing his poetry from content material to display the panorama of his poetry as much as possible.The third chapter makes a discussion on artistic characteristics of Qian Yiji’s poetry.The artistic features of his poetry are mainly reflected in these aspects:"poems based on essays", using line drawing only, taking learnings as poem and using other artistic techniques.The fourth chapter bases on Qian Yiji’s poetry, analyses the poetics origin of Qian Yiji. Qian Yiji absorbed the outstanding cultural achievements of Xiushui poets, and has the development, also have reference to previous and contemporary poets.Additionally, for further research and consultation, the appendix is Qian yiji’s chronology which lists his life deeds from year to year for reference. At last, it makes a brief list of Qian Yiji’s works.
