Culture as well as tourism is becoming increasingly closed to each other in modern society, so the translation of tourist text is becoming more and more important. In recent years, many researchers have paid more attention to translation problems of the tourist text, and now they are still discussing the translation standard on it.As a report on Chinese to English translation practice for international publicity, the report mainly translates the former six chapters chosen from Chengde Summer Mountain Resort and Outlying temples written by Chen Changwen. The book briefly introduces the culture, history, layout and views of Chengde Summer Mountain Resort and Outlying Temples. The purpose of this report is to provide a further reference for researchers and readers who are interested in it, and meanwhile, it also aims to spread the local tourist culture and attract the attention of visitors.The report briefly introduces the translation project, including the original translation text and its author, the research background and significance. Then, the report describes the translation process. Afterwards, the report mainly describes the translation difficulties and translation methods of views and sentences and analyses them according to specific examples. For instance, the author adopts transliteration and annotation methods, transliteration and literal translation and annotation methods for views translation, amplification and omission methods for sentences translation. At last, the report summaries the translation practice from two points:the products and shortages as well as the unsolved problems during translation.
