Task-based language teaching approach is risen and developed in the 1980 s,and because of scientific teaching philosophy, it gets more and more attention and application.This article is based on theoretical and practical studies of task-based language teaching approach,aiming at drawbacks in the reading field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language currently, combined with the features of Chinese reading,based on my teaching experience at the Bohai university,raising up the idea of combining Task-based language teaching and reading teaching in TCSL,to seek the best combination of methods between task-based teaching methods and reading class in TCSL.In the introduction part,I have classified and summed my predecessors’ achievement and experience in the field of task-based language teaching and reading teaching in TCSL.The first part, I draw the picture describing the present condition on the reading teaching in TCSL,summarizing drawbacks of the current reading class,madding the conclusions that traditional foreign language reading instruction is not suited to the Reading class.The second part, I proposed the practicing frame of the task-based approach used in the reading teaching field.The third part, under the guidance of this framework,I selected a text which I have used when I teach in Bohai university for a more specific instructional design,through the form of questionnaires and observation table I will appraise the effect that task-based approach used in reading class.Finally, I will propose several suggestion,raising up what we should give an attention and where we can make an improvement when task-based approach applied in the process of foreign language teaching of reading.
