Flannery o’connor (1925-1964)’s main works are the short story collection Everything That Rises Must Converge (1965) and A Good Man Is Hard to Find(1955), novel Violent Seizure (1957)and Wise Blood (1952) Letters survival habit (1979)and other. Violent Seizure and Wise Blood the two novels are discussed religious issues and redemption, writing style seems cold,grotesque. Compared with the novels, her short stories A Good Man Is Hard to Find and Everything That Rises Must Converge more write southerners’s everyday life, vivid and beautiful style.Nature and women often appear in her short stories. O ’connor love nature and are familiar with South American farm life. In her short stories, O’connor describe three women:traditional women,women farmers and women intellectuals.Currently, the study of O’connor, more focus on religion, weird, regional, ethnic and other fields. In this paper, more representative select O’connor’s short stories from the perspective of trying to ecofeminism, interpretation of O’connor’s ecological view and female view. O’connor believes that, in the western capitalist society, not only women, but also nature suffer the human’s double oppression and exploitation;meanwhile, men are the victims of patriarchy and are affected the healthy growth of his character. To this end, O’connor called for the harmonious development of man and nature, man and man, against the male centralism, against racial discrimination and achieving v gender equality.The innovation of this paper attempts to discuss O’connor’s ecological consciousness from the perspective of nature and women combined.The focus of this paper on O’connor’s against patriarchy to women’s and nature’s oppression and exploitation, realising the theme of harmonious development between men and nature and so on.
