| Verb-Object LIHECI is one of the special scenarios in the modern Chinese language. Although it looks like a single word, but it can be used as a word or a phrase o There are various ways to use Verb-Object LIHECI and they are all very complicated. In addition, they are not small in terms of amount. Thus, it is tough for foreigners to learn it and even more difficult when they try to put Verb-Object LIHECI in actual usage. Therefore, there is a number of studies related to the characteristics of Verb-Object LIHECI.This paper aims to summarize the study done on Verb-Object LIHECI and have some further development on it.Chapter 1:The writer states the objective of this study, the literature survey and study scope of Verb-Object LIHECI.Chapter 2:The current study focuses on the definition of Verb-Object LIHECI and its significance. There are also researches done on the arguments of its "Word" and "Phrase" property.Chapter 3:Discussion on the syntactic Features of Verb-Object LIHECI and classify it bases on those features. One of the main features of Verb-Object LIHECI is that it can work as a word as well as a phrase. The four main ways to use it as a word are:link to object directly, degree adverb modification, link to adverbial complement directly and introduce object using preposition. Discussion on the variation of Verb-Object LIHECI when it works as a phrase is done based on the verb and noun.Chapter 4:A Summarization on the types of errors of the Verb-Object LIHECI commonly made by foreign students. The reasons for these errors includes linguist interference, the transition generalization of Chinese grammar, the arrangement of teaching materials and teaching activities, and so on. We also indicated some teaching advices against them based on the analysis.Chapter 5:Conclusion on the previous four chapters.The purpose of the paper is to develop the research of Verb-Object LIHECI and give some reference to the teaching. |
