The Study Of Liao Dynasty National Sacrificial Rites

As an ancient ethnic minorities,qidan nationality established their dynasty more than two hundred years,superbly stands in northern China.Promoted the development in north China,accelerated the feudalization of northern grassland region,created a splendid culture of the Liao dynasty.As an important representative of Liao dynasty’s political culture,its sacrificial rites embodies the unique mental outlook,present the Liao dynasty cultural diversity characteristics,its development process also reflects the northen region of the feudalization process.As a breakthrough point,This article investigated the national sacrificial rites of Liao dynasty,to show its overall style and features of sacrificial rites.In addition to the introduction,the thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter clarifies the evolution of Liao dynasty national sacrificial rites.this course consists of four stages.First founded,evolution,the deepening of Hanization and the decline of folk custom,and the last fall.The second chapter introduced Liao dynasty’s natural god worship broadly.Put the most important content in the sacrificial rites:worship heaven and earth,worship the sun,shooting sallow to pray rain,as the mian object of study.Pointed out that the natural god worship is putting the national religion as the main body,and the Han Confucianism as the coat.The third chapter put the most representative of Liao dynasty royal rites as the main investigation object,Comprehensive combed the methods, form of ancestor worship and rituals.Also briefly introduces other ancestors and ghosts worship.The fourth chapter,Shamanism is early Qidan people’s spiritual beliefs, Shaman gods, shamanic rituals, shaman directly conversion to the main object of the natural gods worship, have a great influence to the formation and development of Liao country sacrificial rites.The shaman in Liao Dynasty national sacrifices play a role of host, sacrifice and communicate with God.The fifth chapter,Summarizes the characteristics of the Liao Dynasty sacrificial rites, analyze of the influence to Qidan nationality, the development of Liao dynasty and the Chinese culture. Specifically, there is a strong political,religious,regional,ethnic and multicultural fusion characteristics. The state sacrificial rites strengthened the cohesion of the Qidan nationality, has a profound impact on the social life of the Qidan people.To enhance the legitimacy of the Liao Dynasty, to strengthen the imperial power and to maintain the social hierarchy and social stability,in that aspect, also played a significant role.The sacrificial rites of Liao dynasty have a profound impact on future generations of the sacrifices of Jin and Yuan Festival, is an important part of Chinese culture.
