Zhang Qian is known as the first person of opening up the Western,having indelible achievements and impacts in history.This article focuses on the spread of various ancient tales about Zhang Qian, carded their changes, combining historical backgrounds to explain their reasons for these changes. And finally, summed up some basic modes of the consisting of tales.The first chapter is about Zhang Qian’s facts. Collecting life experiences of Zhang Qian from literatures of “Historical Records” “History of Han Dynasty” and others.Explain the title of “Bo Wang Marquis” and writings. Then list the evaluation of Zhang Qian from the people of Han Dynasty.The second chapter is about the tales of Zhang Qian as the introducer of Western plants. Discriminated the variety of Western plants which were attached by Zhang Qian, that there is no conclusive evidence proves that Zhang Qian introduced any plants. Then Summed up five reasons: incorrectness during the course of copying, migratory association of geographical names, migratory association of botanical names, the impact of age atmosphere, common name of “Bo Wang Marquis”.The third Chapter is about the tales of Zhang Qian as the Buddhism-classics obtainer. Introducing the time of Buddhism into China and the Western Regions in the era of Emperor Wudi proves that Zhang Qiancouldn’t go to the Western for Buddhism. Then testify that how it is corrected of name of Zhang Qian by the sheet of writings about Buddhism-classics gain in era of Emperor Hanming. But wall paintings of Dunhuang proves the spread of this tale in a period of time. Finally, explain the causes.The fourth chapter is about the tales of Zhang Qian from “searching source of Huanghe River”. Carding the spread and changes of the “Zhang Qian’s boating”stores from eras of Weijin Dynasty to Qing Dynasty. And explain the reasons of integration of this tale with other stories.Finally, to show some narrative modes and the relationship of eras through the changeability of ancient tales from the study of Zhang Qianstories.
