Dutch Masters Maurits Cornelis Escher prints was a maverick artist. He lives in his own world of art, do not communicate with other artists of the same period, that art critic can not be made a more correct evaluation. He devoted his life to how to deal with the twodimensional plane and three-dimensional space, in particular its lithographs. This paper is divided into four chapters of Escher’s lithograph art of analysis and research.The first chapter of the factors influencing the formation of Escher lithograph art style is analyzed mainly by its experience of learning printmaking, painting landscapes of southern Italy, Alhambra flat decorative painting, as well as the outbreak of World War II scientific results and other effects of several factors. The 1937 Alhambra second visit, become the symbol of Escher lithograph art style formation.The second chapter forms Escher lithograph Creation contradiction space is discussed mainly by interpretation of the works of Escher lithograph, lithograph its manifestations things from different spatial reorganization of the plane and three-dimensional conversion, reality and fantasy juxtaposition of these three aspects discussed. Escher will to a higher level on the new possibilities of real three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional plane performance.Chapter Three creative thinking and creative process two aspects of Escher lithograph creation embodied rational study started. Escher constructed space is the first of its contradictory paradox thinking reproduction, the concept is the premise of the final presentation of contradictory space.The fourth chapter discusses the art of Escher lithograph meaning in reality. The reality of social life and the development of Chinese contemporary prints have a profound impact.
