| Fu Lei is recognized by us as one of the most excellent translators of China in the 20 th century, it has been nearly fifty years since he left us, and the year of 2016 is the 50 th anniversary of his death. Although he was dead, his spirit will live forever. As a model of Chinese parents, Fu Lei and his wife made a notable achievement in nurturing their two children after extraordinarily persistent and painstaking efforts. In the era of rapid advancement of network, the unique paternal love from Fu Lei seems extremely precious, and the best-selling of Fu Lei Jiashu also illustrates that his concept of children education has an important position in people’s minds.Fu Lei achieved a high literary accomplishment and was meticulous for translation, and his rigorous learning attitude brought me a lot of pressure in the process of translation. Although Fu Lei Jiashu was presented in written language, it was more like that Fu Lei was teaching his son face to face, so it is with certain colloquial color. Therefore, it is a must to distinguish them when translating some words and sentences and I shall not make the translation too colloquial or too formal. Moreover, in avoid to stick to the words and sentence structure of the source text, it is necessary to adjust it after deep understanding, and then translate them into expressions that are in accordance with English.The translation practice report is closely integrated with the translation software--Trados and relevant translation techniques learned in working in Shanghai YGYM Translation Service Co., Ltd. by the author, which aims to enrich translation materials of this unique text on the one hand, and on the other hand to widely spread the education ideas, hoping that more foreigners can understand the Chinese fatherly love.
