An Research Of The Contonation And Succession Within The Dong People’s Nuo Opera In Xinhuang Of Hunan Province

Dongdong Tui is a kind of particular Nuo Opera in Gong Xi Township’s Tian Jing Village of XinHuang Hunan. It has a history more than 500 years,It is a playlet Based on Dong language, using dancing,arias and asides for storytelling. As its long history and unique artistic connotation, it was listed as the non-material cultural heritage protection target in 2006. Based on the primary materials acquired by field study as well as the graphics and text information by searching related articles, comprehensive used cultural anthropology,folklore,ethnology, dance ecology’s perspectives and methods, analyzing its movement vocabulary, music arias, dress, props etc, focused on the function of history, Inherited changes by cultural developmental choice,interpreted local people’s livelihood, belief systems and culture, This essay has offered some thoughts mainly on inheritance and development in modern society.This paper can be divided into four parts: Introduction and three chapters. Introduction explains the purpose significance and methodology of this topic. The first chapter is explain living environment,historical reasons and developments of Dongdong Tui; The second chapter is describe the opera’s ceremony, dance, music, dress and property, then analyzing deeper Cultural Connotation, the locals ethical orientation, andbelief systems. Last chapter is Analysis Based on status of Dongdong Tui,draws lessons from successful experience of international and national excellent art heritage, think about the inheritance and protection,also propose a Innovative Practice about the artistic elements.This paper tries to narrate a closed-disappearance Nuo Opera in local specific cultural background,dig the inner moral values and connotation,at the same time, thus launch ideas about salvage, protection,heritage, and development,make a modest contribution for Protection and Development work of Dongdong Tui.
