| The paper records and arranges the sources of inspiration of Xiangxi Landscape Paintings, mainly describing Xiangxi stilted building, especially the Phoenix stilted building, which is the main geographical feature, as well as the thinking upon the problems encountered during the creation process. The work symbolizes unique features of the stilted building in Xiangxi area. The light and handy small dosser, warm and honest Hmong, and the mysterious humanistic culture have attracted me to create something more genuine, to explore and depict sceneries of Phoenix characteristics of intellectual and artistic values. The work starts from the stilted buildings of Phoenix characteristics, inspecting and studying the culture inside Phoenix stilted buildings and appearance and humanistic characteristics of their surroundings, and analyzing and creating under the spiritual guidance of Shen Congwen ’ s description on Xiangxi area. The creation of Xiangxi Landscape Paintings is the final summary of the author’s postgraduate stage, of which the creation process is profound. The author write down her feelings and comprehensions during the creation process for others’ preference. |
