This is a report of simulative simultaneous interpreting of 2015 Microsoft Windows 10 Devices Briefing which run one hour and 47 minutes. There were five speakers addressed the event in English and two interpreters interpreted successively. Focused on the interpreting skills and problem solving strategies, this report consists of four parts, which are task introduction, interpreting process, case study and reflection and summary.The first part named task introduction gives a full explanation of the nature and requirement of this interpreting task which lays a foundation for the following parts. Interpreting process is a part that mainly tells how the task was fulfilled from preparation to interpreting conducting. The third part of this report named case study is the most important part in which the author lists some representative problems he encountered in this interpreting process and strategies and skills which were used in solving those problems. The case study chapter is divided into three parts, including the usage of “zero translation” skill, the usage of simplification guided by the Skopos Theory, and tense and dictation. All of those translation strategies were demonstrated with examples in this interpreting task. The final part of this report is a summary of the whole interpreting task and includes an outlook for the future.The author hopes that by analyzing and summarizing this interpreting task, he could get some meaningful experience which will offer himself help in later works and others good inspiration.
