Study On Sports Culture Of Tang Poetry

Transmission and development of the sports culture is particularly important in the sustained, healthy and balanced development of sports. Sports culture have the national and traditional characteristics, is the sum of material and spiritual wealth which represent the human creation direction of advanced sports. For the study of sports culture in our country, in order to take the essence, discard the dross, we should not only grasp the overall context. But also need to grasp the microscopic investigation on independent characteristics of each era.Tang dynasty is the heyday of political, economic and cultural development in China’s feudal society. On the basis of its strong national strength, the cultural development of tang dynasty presents no sorrow, all-encompassing magnificent momentum. So tang dynasty stands out by its unique temperament in the past dynasties. Tang dynasty extend its western edge, open region vast, forces had as far as ancient with Iran. It is not difficult to draw from geographical factors analysis, tang dynasty have active exchanges with foreign countries, multi-ethnic culture integrate with each other, form a multicultural characteristics. It is also the peak period for the development of feudal society sports culture in tang dynasty. The stable development of the society in the tang dynasty, provide a superior environment for the development of sports culture. A variety of sports activities is carried out under such a social background.As is known to all, poetry of the Tang Dynasty is a great heritage of ancient Chinese culture, represented the social trend of literature. Qian Zhonglian mentioned that in the three hundred years of development history, the tang dynasty poetry reached the peak. Government governance with poetry, literati treat poetry as a mean. Heaven and earth, mountains and rivers, clouds, vegetation and human feelings and events all can be used as a material of poetry. Taiwan province, shogun, shop, temple, tube, rural building full of poetry, become a wonders of literary history. Scholars think that the poetry of tang is the most classic. The tang dynasty poetry is a treasure in the culture of tang dynasty; the sports activities in the tang dynasty also provide a rich subject matter for the creation of tang dynasty poetry, a perfect fusion of the two formed a description of the sports activities in the tang dynasty poetry. According to the latest statistics, "Tang" and "quan tang supplement of" "Tang" and "quan tang supplement of" recorded 42863 tang poems created by 2529 poets, is the largest anthology of poetry in the tang dynasty in our country, and there is no lack of among them poem about sports activities. The abundance of sports content in tang poems can fill and revised official history.This paper try to research the sports activities in the poetry of "Tang" and "quan tang supplement of, by the methods of documentary, interview, logical analysis as a research tool, analyze the sports related poems in the tang dynasty, sorting and appreciation, to explore the development of sports culture in the tang dynasty, summarized the characteristics of sports culture in the tang dynasty, in order for the development of sports culture to some extent. Poetry in the tang dynasty recorded very rich contents of sports activities, almost content all parts of the tang dynasty in all sports, these poems reflects the colorful sports activities of the real life of tang dynasty’s hundreds years history. In the process of research, this article will divide sports activity into four stages, early tang, s-tang, middle tang and late tang to carry on the research, combine the characteristics of the sports culture at various stages, sort out the development of sports culture in tang dynasty, and then come to the conclusion:Whether from the rich and colorful sports project in the tang dynasty, or from different sports thought, tang is a big development period. Political, economic and cultural prosperity in tang dynasty, especially make the succession and development of the sports culture stand out in the tang dynasty. It was also in the tang dynasty, the basic outline of ancient Chinese sports has formed. Tang dynasty sports involved in the project are: hunt, boat race, tug-of-war, cuju, polo, play chess, kites, swing and dance, connotation is rich. Early tang is given priority to the martial arts, military in sports; development to the s-tang dynasty, people formed a sport consciousness, sports activities gradually abundant; the middle tang dynasty has produced a woman sports, sports activities is the most colorful. Due to the political situation in late tang dynasty, people’s passion for sports less than before. The generation of women’s sports and cuju two-door test make great contributions to the development of ancient sports, become a turning point in Chinese ancient sports history. From the Angle of sports culture, more sports of the tang dynasty pursuit "static beauty" culture, so ornamental, recreational sports activities is more than confrontational sports, reflect the cultural characteristics of sports culture spirit in the tang dynasty. Sports in tang dynasty mostly emphasize the overall effect and intuitive feeling, mastery of action by intuitive comprehension, simple easy to operate but the connotation is rich, reflects the cultural characteristics of sports culture system in the tang dynasty. Sports activities in the tang dynasty is given priority to with individual activities, activity form is given priority to with bare hands, reflects the characteristics of sports material culture in the tang dynasty.This study carry out the research only in the perspective of the tang poetry, any other genre of literature which also record sports activity are not concluded in this article, because of the limited learning and vision, this paper is hard to avoid has omissions, the truth is not able to completely restore the development of sports culture in the tang dynasty. Therefore, this article research conclusion has only reflected some parts of sports culture of tang, far from all of them.
