This thesis takes five-staring secondary vocational students of "English Nursing” in ChengDe Nursing Vocational College as the research object. We use the methods of literature analysis, questionnaire survey and the way of research on the teaching mode, learning strategies, carries on the exploration and research in classroom atmosphere and other aspects,and attempts from the various links of the intensive reading class, and explore effective measures for intensive reading teaching. Finally, in the view of the existing problems of secondary vocational school in intensive reading teaching, the author provide a set of implemented scheme for teachers.This thesis is comprised of five parts, including one introduction and four chapters and one conclusion in the end.The Introduction discourses why we choose this subject as the title of this thesis, and introduces the development history of English intensive reading course,putting forward the research methods using in this thesis,and making the definition of related concepts.Chapter One introduce Chengde Nursing Vocational School, and analyzes the current situation of the studentsChapter Two Analysis of the existing problems in Cheng De Nursing Vocational School of nursing English Intensive Reading Course. We analyze the English curriculum depth, the use of intensive reading textbooks and teachers class skills, then find out the existing problems in teachingChapter Three to improve the strategies and principles of teaching effect in nursing English Intensive Reading Course. Putting forward the strategies from vocabulary, writing, teaching content, and classroom interaction. And the corresponding teaching principles from the warming-up activities, teacher’s instruction and the background of the text.Chapter Four discusses the Practice exploration of improving the teaching quality of nursing English Intensive Reading Course. Putting forward specific learning methods in warming up activities, vocabulary, wring grammar and background.Conclusions include the results and deficiencies of research, the intensive reading in Cheng De Nursing Vocational School, needs further explorations. And making intensive reading class more effective.
