The Research Of Design Language Of Artist Books

With the development of the times and the progress of information technology and printing technology, books are being challenged by new media as the information carrier and seeking a transition. From the developing history of books, Artist books have extended the area of book design by its abundant expressive forms and unique design language. The analysis of design language and aesthetics of Artist books should not only as a reference in the field of art appreciation, but also could be used for reference in transition and development of current book design. Artist made this fun and shocking book by hand or machine, using artful and flexible design language and through visual perception, touch, smell and other sensory interaction.This paper focused on the research of design language of Artist books. I made a summary by analyzed its design language and construction of synesthesia of book art of all brilliant Artist books. And through these, we can find the beauty of materials, handmade, shape and other design languages from artistic appreciation easily, and using these make a better express of Artist books, even to provide more possibility and create a broader development space for innovation of Artist books or other book designs.
