Monosyllabic words refer to the words of just one syllable. In ancient Chinese written language and offspring antique writings in classical Chinese, monosyllabic words has occupied the dominant position, every monosyllabic words are the origin of polysyllabic words in the future, has rich meaning and laid the foundation for ancient Chinese rich and colorful cultural terms are derived. Ancient language single syllable words first is an important characteristic of polysemy, polysyllabic words although also has the problem of polysemy, but with monosyllabic words comparison, pales in comparison. In order to make a comprehensive study of the Chinese ancient documents nouns, it is indispensable to study the single syllable. Therefore, it is of great academic significance to study them deeply and systematically.This article in the ancient literature retrieval based on and on the retrieval of ancient Chinese Monosyllabic section document term of research, application and characteristics of the source word and thus of monosyllabic nouns document overall grasp. In the context of the relevant concepts and research areas, combined with the historical background of Chinese ancient politics, culture, language and customs, the first in the main single syllable of Chinese ancient documents and the meaning of the word and frequency. From the overall analysis of single document term evolution and its influencing factors; secondly, according to the different application scope and nature, respectively on the ancient Chinese Monosyllabic document term evolution, influencing factors and main representative of the monosyllable nouns to make analysis and finally the monosyllabic document nouns derived some syllables are corresponding description.
