In recent years, more and more parents and children read picture-books together, the school also is trying to applying picture-book to the students psychological health education, Reading picture-book is highly regarded in the parent-child education and school psychological health education.For the fast-paced life of society, many parents don’t have the energy to take care of their children, the boarding primary school was born. Many children were sent to boarding school, this research investigates and analysis the present conditions of the boarding pupil’s social anxiety level. The high social anxiety lodging pupils of picturebook reading intervention experiment. Research the impact of reading picture-books on boarding pupils’ social anxiety. Provide a certain basis and reference to the primary school take picture books reading activities to intervene pupil’s social anxiety.From the literatures, found that the intervention study of reading picture books on a boarding primary school pupils’ social anxiety is less. This research adopts stratified sampling method and questionnaire survey was conducted in two to six graders. 397 questionnaires, 198 boarding primary school questionnaires, a boarding primary school, 199 primary school questionnaires, invalid questionnaires were removed, 380 valid questionnaires, accounting for 95.7% of the effective scale. Use of children’s social anxiety scale(SASC) as the experiment of measuring tools, data processing and analysis, screening boarding primary school and the boarding pupils. Using single factor analysis of variance and independent samples T test. Compare a boarding primary school students and the boarding students social anxiety in grade, gender, whether as the only children and parents to accompany at the weekend time differences. Screening 20 objects in experimental group and control group, students in the experimental group take part in 1 times a week,60 minutes at a time, a total of 10 times of picture-books reading group experimental intervention, control group students study in the same environment, but not doing the experiment.Results: Elementary student’s social anxiety detection rate was 19.47%, the boarder of social anxiety students detection rate is 15.89%, a boarding primary school students in the social anxiety tendency of people to achieve the 23.24% of the total population. Boarding primary school students in grade, gender, social anxiety level if there is no significant difference on the only child’s situation, but significant differences in the time together with their parents at the weekend. Weekend basically not accompany the level of social anxiety level is higher than most of the time together with their parents at the weekend. The experimental group after intervention experiment social anxiety levels have fallen,experiment group and control group after exist significant difference after comparison.This study based on social anxiety affects the reasons and influencing factors of treatment theory,the theory of reading, and children’s physical and mental characteristics, and lessons from existing research results, from aspects and so on education goal, content, implementation developed in this study the need of picture books reading activities. Picture-books reading activities,including as the basic activities of picture-book reading and the interactive discussion activity, as the extension activities conducted by playing role, sharing story and learning activity feedback sheet.This research adopts the experimental group before and after a control group of experimental design. Study in reading picture-books can significantly reduce the social anxiety level boarding primary school group, applying picture-books in the series of picture-book reading group activities has a positive role to promote the students’ self-awareness, empathy, and emotion regulation ability,Picture-books reading activities can effectively reduce the lower social anxiety level students.Picture-books reading as a counseling intervention tool, but it’s not the only tool, we need more counseling intervention tools, more loving parents, teachers and society with love watch elementary student’s spiritual growth.
