Since the 1990 s, the author Wang Anyi’s writing views changed with the times : Some works full of modern goods enrich people’s lives.To some extent, even people’s character become more complex, urban and rural two different world seems to share the life of this world full of objects, the way is consumption.The article is divided into four chapters; In the first chapter, through the comparison of material writing in Wang’s works before and after 1990 s, i want to clarify the reason why i study the works since the 1990 s as an object of examination. Step by step,the relationship between matter and consumption become closer,which facilitate review writers use words to convey the substance of their own people consumer attitudes and writer’s insist consumption. The second and the third chapters respectively base on urban and rural space.The thesis studies the urban consumption and rural consumption using the relevant theories of sociology and economics combining with consumption phenomenon of urban and rural population. In the analysis of consumer attitudes of the urban population, food consumption, clothing consumption, entertainment consumption, and the female body consumption could not be avoided. As for the consumption of rural group, the thesis presents different environment survival state and mental state in real consumption.Finally, through Wang’s view, we can discover consumer attitudes behind the writer’s own attitude towards the material as well as some social problems.Through the consumption view of the urban population and rural population, which helps us to better understand the real life and be more rational to treat consumer culture. In addition, exploring the writer and her writings into the consumption field is a pluralistic attempt.
