In film history, although fantasy and magic movies appeared very early, once they were criticized by the audience because of low quality, so the Magic Movie had been living under the wings of science fiction fantasy film. By the end of the 20 th century, as science and technology innovated, the film technology also developed accordingly. It has to be the Gospel that film techniques are used to make a lot of special effects for Magic Movie. The Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings series which makes a great success worldwide in 2001 can be a boundary. The magic movie has ushered in the spring, blows horn of independence, and gradually becomes a kind of independent type movie,and finally blows up a strong "magic whirlwind" on a global scale. When it comes to China, the Chinese filmmakers introduce the world’s advanced film technology and creat a different and unique national characteristics of the local magic movies in combination of its own national history and culture.Firstly, the paper raises the global sweeping Magic phenomena, after interpretation of this phenomenon and the source of the word Magic, the new term Chinese New Magic Movie is introduced. After 2008, the film Painted Skin directed by Gordon Chan was released, some other similar movies also marked themselves with the terms like New Oriental Magic or Chinese New Magic Movie. These movies have some characteristics in common: in the narrative method, compared with the original work, more aggressive expansion is adapted in the modern perspective and vision to show the modern love ethics, and also Chinese traditional elements are involved, thus producing a magical blockbuster with eastern features. According to the major feature of Chinese New Magic Movie, magic and love, the author chooses the heterogeneous love story as the research object in this paper. Characteristics and narrative method of Chinese New Magic Movie will be studied in this paper from the narrative angle of movies progressively, which will be mainly studied in perspectives like narrative motif, narrative structures, the characters, narrative time and space, etc., thus a general understanding of the type of Chinese New Magic Movie is expected.Generally speaking,there are have four parts in the paper.Every chapter is divided into two sections except the four part.In the first chapter,one section give a explanation into the fantasy’s definition,the development of fantasy and the film industry wave of magic phenomenon.another section analysis the new Magic Movies in China’s characteristics which is rising.The second chapter not only mainly discusses the narrative motif and type of heterogeneouslove in China’s new magic movie.First section make a prevue to motif and heterogeneouslove motif,but also summarize the commo motif which was used on Marriage between creatures of different species in China’s new magic movie.The second section have demonstrated common tpye is used on heterogeneouslove in China’s new magic movie which was based on the summarize of the motif in the first section about Gratitude-Paying,ove and marriage type,Different future affairs type.The third chapter mainly analyzes the Chinese new magic film of its narrative structure,mainly including the characters relational structure as "binary opposition", as well as the plot structure of "Meeting- Marriage- Separation". The fourth chapter analyzes heterogeneouslove stories of Chinese new magica films’ narrative elements, usually divided into three parts. The first part is narrative combination, divided the characters of love stories of Chinese new magic film into three images: unreasoning passion of heterogeneous women, men with bravery and responsibility, a variety of executives. The second part concretely analyzes the heterogeneous love stories of Chinese new magical films’ sequence and distance of time. The third part mainly states the heterogeneous love stories of Chinese new magical films’ types of narrative spaces: real space and virtual space, and analyzes themetaphors and symbolic meanings of these spaces.
