Cultural Connotation Of Female-related Words In The Dictionary Of Word Explanations And Teaching It As A Foreign Language

Culture teaching enjoys an important status in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The article delves into the classification, meaning and cultural connotation of female-related words and teaching Chinese as a foreign language, loaded with female-related words in the dictionary of word explanations and based on teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The reason why the article focuses on the female-related words in the dictionary as a point of contact is that it is the first one in ancient Chinese history that was compiled by basic structural parts of Chinese characters, which has produced a profound effect on the Chinese character research and Chinese culture. As a component part of Chinese cultural education, the education of female-related words is meant for returned students who are interested in Chinese culture and have reached a moderate or advanced level of the Chinese language. Based on the classification and explanations, the article inquires further into the internal meaning of female-related words and combines with teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The article is divided into five chapters as follows:Chapter 1 is Introduction. It consists of the reason for the subject selected, the value of the research, and the situation of the research. The article of the reason for the subject includes the research object and the applicable object, the value of the research according to classifications and explanations of female-related word and its relation with cultural meanings of female-related words and teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the situation according to the female characters, teaching of Chinese culture as a foreign language.Chapter 2 is Classifications and explanations of female-related word. In the chapter,the author divides 66 Chinese female-related words into 6 parts according to different meanings, and makes explanations about them according to their pronunciations,meanings and examples. In this process, we make concrete explanations according to the structures of inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells of the Shang Dynasty if the explanations of the words are vague or inaccurate.Chapter 3 is Cultural meanings of female-related words. The author specificallydiscussed the cultural meanings of the words, based on the explanations of the words.According to original meaning of the words, the internal meanings are increasingly excavated, which reflects the cultural characteristics of ancient Chinese females in social status, family position and physical diseases.Chapter 4 is teaching Chinese as a foreign language about Female-related Words.Based on the discussion about the words, the author combines its internal cultural meaning with teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Under the guidance of actively serving the teaching, the chapter puts forward dominant ideas, teaching principles and teaching methods in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language about female-related words.In conclusion, the article summarizes main viewpoints, blazing trails and inadequacy.
