He Studies Of Aristocratic Women Politics During The Spring And Autumn Period In The Perspective Of Gender Role

During the Spring and Autumn period, the society was in chaos and disorder everywhere. Under the background of dramatic reform in the society, a lot of women,specially aristocratic ones, participate politics frequently. However, by the promotion of time and other factors in the Shang and Zhou Dynasty, gender role which distinguish the men’s and women’s basic social models is improving day by day.Therefore, the main theme of this article is researching the political activities of aristocratic women in the Spring and Autumn period from the perspective of gender role.The article includes three parts, the exordium, the body text and the conclusion.First of all, it is described in the exordium with reference to men in the same period that what is the objective, the significance, the thought of this article,especially narrate the definition, the development and the factions of the gender role theory.Secondly, in the first chapter of body text, we discuss the background and principles of aristocratic women’s social activities, including the education, the social division of labor, and the hierarchy based on ZhouLi.In the second chapter, the shaping and demands of aristocratic women evolves women’s role in the general field, such as devoted mother, humble wife and filial daughter. Because of the social opinion of women and few abominable consequence from the events of women who participate politics, people in this period didn’t hope to see women’s participation in politics.In the third chapter, we introduce the opportunity for women’s participation in politics and meet the harmony and conflict between women and men in politics by investigating the practice of women’s participation, in which we study from the roles of women such as mother, wife, concubine and daughter, and combine with the motivations, contents, characters and results of women’s participation in politics. It ismainly include the women who refused the politics, who participated in the politics and brought good consequence, who brought bad consequence, who was in a pickle between her father and husband, and who took part in the politics passively and brought bad consequence.In the fourth chapter, we discuss the punishment of aristocratic women who were defeated from the male rulers, and the evaluation mechanism which include two aspects, one is the evaluation of aristocratic women from men, the other is the identification and internalization of the evaluation from male rulers.At the end, we conclude the purport of this article and the essence and character of aristocratic women’s politics in the Spring and Autumn period.
