The party’s 18 first proposed the socialist core values. It provides out the direction for the development of China’s social progress. It provides guidelines to follow the common for all members of society. It is another big leap in our party theoretical innovation. The paper research the traditional Chinese cultural basis of socialist core values on the basis of the existing survey results and literature.This article includes three parts -the introduction part, the main body part and the conclusion part.In terms of the introduction part, it introduces the reason and the significance of the topic selection, research status, research ideas and methods, the main innovation points and topic selection which is proposed to solve the main problems.The main part consists of three parts.The first part is about the related theory of the socialist core values and Chinese traditional culture. Among them, the values, the core values and the socialist core values, culture, traditional culture, Chinese traditional culture and Chinese excellent traditional culture of these concepts were defined. Chinese traditional culture is the solid foundation of socialist core values. Socialist core values are the inheritance and sublimation of the Chinese traditional culture. On the relationship between the two aspects are described.The second part is about the traditional Chinese cultural basis of the socialist core values. It discusses about three levels individually mainly from the prosperous, democratic, civilized and harmonious; the freedom, equality, justice and rule of law; the patriotism, dedication, integrity and kindness.The third part is about the ways to cultivate socialist core values on the basis of enhancing the traditional Chinese culture. It discusses about three perspectives mainly from cultivating socialist core values with traditional culture, nourishing socialist core values with traditional virtue and establishing good social environment to cultivating the core values.The conclusion of this paper carries on the final summary. This paper carries on the further thought and exploration based on the academic research of the socialist core values. Excavating, carding and analyzing the traditional Chinese culture of socialist core values from the multi-angle and multi-level. The purpose is to get some new breakthroughs and make new summary and generalization. Socialist core values will get better cultivation on the basis of carrying forward the traditional Chinese culture.
