The articles of this translation report are from the column of tech innovations in Huffington Post,covering wearable devices, smart plate, smart baby bottle, smart high chair and so on. Many new technology products are introduced in the articles, which brings the latest information about the products to the readers. And the articles will be great help to the promotion and sale of the products and attract more customers.This practice report analyzes the translation process and the problems encountered. It includes four parts: the translation task description, the procedure description, the case analysis and the conclusion. The first part introduces the background and the nature of the task. In the second part, this paper mainly analyzes the content and characteristics of the original text as well as the target readers, and expounds the basis of the choice of translation strategies. The third part, which is the key section, summarizes and analyzes the difficulties of the problems and challenges in the translation process. It includes four aspects: the translation of the titles, the name of the products as well as the brand, new terminologies and language readability. By giving examples, the third part expounds the thinking process and the concrete solutions of the problems under the guidance of Newmark’s Communicative Translation Theory and domestication strategies.
