Rapid development of computer technology makes it difficult for people to get target information from abundant information resources. There are mainly two perspectives to solve this problem, one focuses on information organization and layout, while the other emphasizes on information highlight. Analysis of relative studies showed that for display systems in different application scenarios, results about information layout failed to form a conclusion; Researches usually involved in fixed position display but took no account of pop-up window display; Relevant researches on information highlight didn’t distinguish different attribute information within target information.On the basis of research on the radar target information display system, this study referred to the existing display research results, made several improvements, and carried out ergonomic experiments to explore for the optimum target information display position and mode to facilitate information judgment.This study consists of three parts: Research one aimed at comparing judgment performance of target information under three fixed display positions(upper left, upper right and middle right) and four pop-up window positions(upper left, lower left, upper right and lower right); Research two chose red, blue and black pop-up windows included green characters, and explored the effect of pop-up window transparency on synthetical information judgment performance; Research three distinguished the invariable title information from the variable parameter information within target information by color, and tested its impact on task performance.The main conclusions of this research are as follows:(1) For fixed position display, judgment performance of target information recedes sequentially on middle right, upper left and upper right level; For pop-up window display, judgment performance of target information on upper left, lower left, upper right and lower right levels doesn’t show significant difference; Compared with pop-up window display, fixed position display better favors the judgment of the target information.(2) As for red, blue and black pop-up windows include green characters, the transparency to provide both foreground information and background information ranged from 8%-64%, 8%-65% and 7%-66%; The optimum transparency for synthetical information judgment was 24%-35%, 25%-35% and 25%-37%.(3) Color distinction of title-parameter information within target information doesn’t significantly improve the task performance, however, this display mode is more popular subjectively.
