| Reading is one of the most important cognitive activities in human society, it is the significant method to get information and learn knowledge. Normally, reading is regarded as a linguistic decoding activity, which means it is the process for gaining information. Specially, reading is the process that readers get literal information by their visual organ, then encode these information by brain, finally achieve the target of understanding the whole text.Reading plays an important role in foreign language learning. Reading is the channel to obtain information and learn knowledge. On the one side, students can get various information to solve daily problems via reading, on the other side, it is the connection bridge between new and old knowledge. In teaching Chinese as a second language, we always persist in the Student-oriented Principle. As the Chinese famous saying goes, it is much better for students to know the way how to fetch fish, instead of getting fish only. In actual reading classes, however, it is a common phenomenon that we pay much attention on teaching vocabulary and grammar, rather than cultivating the ability of self-study or reading strategies. The author concerns that the current reading teaching pattern might deviate from the original purpose. The author chose the topic of Reading Strategies Cultivation on Advanced Stage of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and aimed at achieving the target of reading ability improvement by combining read teaching theories with teaching practice. The structure and sequence of this thesis are shown as below:There are four parts in the thesis. Introduction, as the first part, includes the reason for the topic selection, purpose and meaning of research, methods and innovation points. The author also sorted and classified the relative papers and materials on reading strategy topic.The definition of reading strategy, classification and impact were stated as the second part of this thesis. The author summarized and classified the reading strategy based on the reference of former researches and studies.The core of this thesis is the detailed elaboration of reading strategies on advanced stage, which includes Cognitive Reading Strategies, Meta-cognitive Reading Strategies and Social-Affective Strategy. According to the open talk result and related materials, the author summarized and explained the methods on the cultivation of reading strategics on advanced stage based on the background of real Chinese classes.Last but not the least, some suggestions and conclusions were given by the author as the last part of this thesis. |
