Folktale, being one of the cultural genre, is the comprehensive manifestation of folk culture, the mixture of folk wisdom, art and knowledge, the epitome of people’s daily life,and also the source of every high art.It is both grounded in reality and imaginative;It is lively but also with dense and integrate plots; its language is easy to understand and close to the life while full of harmonious beauty on sound and rhythm. Being an educator of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, the author hopes,through the research of this artistic form of language, that can get folktale release its glamour in the process of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.The author, taking the theory of linguistics, applied linguistics, narration and psychology to be the theoretical basis, from the perspective of combining the theory and practice,using the teaching methodology concerned about language teaching as an entry point, did a series of theoretical research to demonstrate and excavate the feasibility and applying value in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, thus established a theoretical foundation for the later writing. The author, after taking a reference of vast books related to the teaching of second language, concerning about actual classroom instruction of Aural-Oral Lessons and the questionnaires to in-school international students, divided the Practical Exploration in the class of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language into three aspects, including "The Selection of Folktales", "The Analysis of Folktales" and "The Application of Folktales in Classroom Instruction" to be researched. Finally, the author proposed several applied strategies for Folktales Teaching to fulfill the need of educators in the actual classroom.
