| Chinese traditional human society’s state of the world has been summarized by the Confucianism, and it extracts the five basic norms of human relations for the ancient society, which are Monarch and Minister, Father and Son, Brothers, Husband and Wife, Friend. Confucian ethics of friend is a common interpersonal relationship, which is different from the other four ethics with blood relationship. Since ancient times, Confucian ethics of friend study has never been stopped, and it is both practical and theoretical confucian ethics, which is an indispensable element of the Five Ethics. Today socialized production replaces the traditional farming economy, chinese traditional way of life has been impacted by the western lifestyles, the rapid technological level of society, the rapid development of communication technology and convenient transportation expand people’s activity space. Despite this, people are still confused:How should adapt themselves in contemporary society for social association in harmony with people. Indeed, the social basis of tradional confucian ethics of friends has disappeared, if we can explore a number of general principles or the essence of some ideas from the traditional confucian ethics of friend, it still has refrence value for contemporary interpersonal and building a harmonious society.In this paper, from the perspective of historical materialism, formation and develepment for confucian ethics of friend is combed and it serches for its development of various stages from the original meaning of Friend. It analyses the law of development for confucian ethics of friend:Friend is a human product of historical development, it has its own history, and this historic also lays out the inclusion of communicative civilization and progress of human beings. When the human material and spiritual level of development reached a certain time, human free shall have been achieved, thus, the interaction of human becomes an important way to meet the requirement of material and spiritual. In confucian ethics of friend, it contains a profound historical significance, interaction of human is subjective, and it is man’s free that exists in the external appearance. Through the exploration and analysis of the basic connotation and characteristic for the confucian ethics of friend, it found confucian ethics of friend mainline is reciprocity emotional logic, its inherent characteristic is benevolence and righteousness, and its external specification is manners and credit. The Confucian emphasis on achieved the value by friendship in the social interaction that demonstrates vividly and directly ethical character of confucian philosophy, and highlights the confucianism spiritual traditions of a learning both sound in theory and practice. Confucian ethics of friend contains integrity, equality, moral, and choosing the good ethos, and they still have the reference valuer for contemporary human interaction as well as other aspects. Realization of modern transformation of Confucian ethics of friend, absorbing its essence reasonable and excluding the portion of the historic limitations have important significance to build contemporary harmonious interpersonal relationship. The core idea of confucian ethics of friend is benevolence and love, and it is an important moral wisdom to coordinate the interpersonal, and honesty is an basic moral for people to live in the world, and also is basic feature for a harmonious society promoted by government. Without the credit, harmonious interpersonal relationships can not be achieved. Confucians believe that honesty is the bond of relationship between people and it plays an important role in regulating relationships. Based on the exploration and analysis of confucian ethics of friend, its contemporary reasonable value for the spirit is expected to be explored, which has a double meaning of theory and practice in China today for the healthy development of contemporary interpersonal, creating a good human environment and building a harmonious society. |
