The Research Of Xue Chuanjun’s Shuowen Dawen Shuzheng

The author of Shuowen Dawen Shuzheng(《说文答问疏证》)is Xue Chuanjun.He is a famous philologian in Qing Dynasty.This book studies Qian Daxin’s Shuowen Dawen(《说文答问》)of Collection of QianYan hall(《潜研堂集》).The book aimed at explaining Qian Daxin’s meaning and correcting his faults.It’s a total of six volumes.It is the study of three hundred and twenty-three words in Shuowen Dawen according to the order of Shuowen Dawen.Xue Chuanjun consulted a lot of books in search of the source of loan character according to Qian Daxin’s phonetic loan character.All of the annotation is precise and the phraseology is concise.It is a reflection of Xue Chuanjun’s research.It pointed out that Shuowen Dawen have some questionable and putted forward his own unique insights.The thesis would research for academic ideas,content and contributions of Xue Chuanjun’s Shuowen Dawen Shuzheng. It used knowledge and theory of philology,critical interpretation of ancient texts and phonology from the perspective of historical materials to learn Chinese. The thesis have four sections.The first chapter, it focus on the life and academic writings of Xue Chuanjun, the edition, research trends, development trend and content of Shuowen Dawen Shuzheng.Former generation of scholars made a lot of research to phonetic loan character.Finally,It would introduce the method and significance of writing.The second chapter,the main content of the paper is annotation style and terminologies.The third chapter, it contains phonetic loan character and borrowing words in the Shuowen Dawen Shuzheng.In the conclusion, this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of Shuowen Dawen Shuzheng.
