The Comparative Study Of The New HSK And The New TOCFL

This thesis mainly does the comparative study of The new Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi(The new HSK) and the new Test of Chinese as a Foreign Langusge(The new TOCFL) bases on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages(CEF).After study,we found that as the most authoritative Chinese Test of the mainland and Taiwan,even though the new HSK and the new TOCFL both set the test levels referring to the CEF,and the six levels of these two test all have a one-to-one correspondence with the six levels of CEF(A1,A2,B1,B2,C1,C2),but there doesn’t exist one-to-one correspondence between the new HSK and the new TOCFL. This thesis did the comparison study of the outline、the items of mock test and the results of real test,and we figured out that actually the fifth level of the new HSK has a one-to-one correspondence with the fourth level of the new TOCFL.On the other hand,we come up with several suggestions for the Chinese proficiency test:first,to set an unified level standard for the Chinese proficiency test;second,to balance the quantity of words of each level;third,to put more listening or reading material which related to our real life into the Chinese proficiency test.
