With the improvement of Chinese international status, more and more people are learning Chinese, interested in Chinese culture. With the worldwide "Chinese fever" phenomenon, more and more foreign students come to "Chinese language environment"- China to study, the Southeast Asian ethnic Chinese students is a very special group. The Chinese language attitude and Chinese cultural identity directly affect the effect of learning Chinese.In this study, language attitude and cultural identity of social linguistics research are theoretical guidance. Using the investigation method of questionnaire investigates Chinese language attitude and Chinese cultural identity of southeast Asian students from Huaqiao University. Using SPSS 19 analysis statistical data. The survey found that in language attitude, their feelings to Chinese and rational evaluation are very high. They consider Chinese language is very important, and they like to learn Chinese. But their learning is not active. The influential factors are age, Chinese family background, origin, the use of Chinese. In terms of cultural identity, their identification recognizes their country, and some of them have been assimilated, such as religious belief, eating habits, etc. However they have a certain degree of knowing Chinese traditional culture, also show interest in modern Chinese culture. Chinese culture is still retained in them. They also inherit many of the spirit of traditional Chinese culture.In view of the above situation, this study proposes the strategies of improving students’ language attitude and deepening their cultural identity: to improve the students’ learning attitude, enhance students’ frequency of using Chinese, stimulate students’ learning motivation, improve the Chinese education mode, constructing the network platform, to help students in China to improve their Chinese level. So that they could be a bridge between China and Southeast Asian countries to communicate. There is an important significance to promote the Chinese education and Chinese culture, but also conducive to deepen cultural communication between China and construct regional community.
