Problems About Guzheng’s Method Of Taking Sound-Heavy Press And Modes Of Ancient Chinese Music

This essay will treat heavy press which is the special method of taking sound in Guzheng performance as study object and analyze it according to the essence of phoneme, quality of sound level, variation of tonality and different study views. The conclusions which are expounded and proved from many aspects by the author are all based on the methods of music score, judging of sounding listening, spin method and analyses of tonality and the writer’s study of the nature of the heavy press "bsi".The essay is divided into three parts:1.The analyses of the relationship between Guzheng’s tune a stringed instrument of five voices and heavy press of their special method of taking sound;2.Comparative and comprehensive analyses of phoneme essence of heavy presses of Guzheng according to different study points.3.Illustration of how heavy presses play important role in Guzheng musical variation of tonality, and to have a comprehension of the nature of sound level quality of heavy presses.The question between the essence of phoneme, quality of sound level and modes of ancient Chinese music is not an isolated phenomenon; to search the question must refer some essential academic questions of Chinese music. This essay tries to solve specific problem of Guzaheng music and makes contribution to the development of traditional Chinese music, exploration of traditional music regular and solution of traditional Chinese music theory.
