E-C Translation Report On “Market Study Specific To The Honey And Beekeeping Sector In Nepal”

The English-Chinese translation report is based on “ Market Study Specific to Nepal Honey and Beekeeping Industry”. The source text was published by the Inclusive Development of the Economy Programme which was jointly initiated by Nepal and Germany institutes. The translation aims at providing investors and decision-makers with suggestions. The task was required to be finished within 40 days.In the report, the author presents the translation process from the beginning to the end. The report elaborates the translation task, translation process, case analysis and conclusions. In the introduction, the report introduces the background and significance of the translation in the business activities. In the translation process, translation plan and related details are presented step by step. It includes informationsearching, glossary-making and selection of guiding strategies. In the case analysis, the author analyzes a large number of examples occurring in the translation process, especially terms and syntax translation. In these two aspects the author applies the strategies of both semantic translation and communicative translation to the task. In the final conclusions, the report generalizes the translation task from three aspects which are text, translator and translation method aspects. The report concludes deficiencies in the translation task and offers suggestions to the translator in the similar market study translation.
