HuaJia is the unique music of religion in the Kumbum Temple of Tibetan area, and it is enrolled in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The HuaJia in Kumbum Temple which is a religious music that serves all kinds of observance of Su Youhua’s making and exhibiting is the unique religious music in the Tibetan Buddhism Monastery, even in the Tibetan area. The HuaJia music has the function of spreading buddhistic music, enhancing dharma, blessing everyone and creating mysterious atmosphere of Su Youhua. Therefore, it has a unique form of performing, music framework and style of music inheriting. But the old age,as well as the specialty of region and the limitation of performing make it unknown to all.This article includes introduction and three parts. The introduction introduces the HuaJia’s general situation, its purpose, and current situation. The first part summaries the relation between Huajia and Tibetan Buddhism, the location of Kumbun Temple, the contribution made by Tsongkhapa, and the close relation between HuaJia and Su Youhua. The second part systematically elaborates the HuaJia’s morphological analysis and function. The third part,form the other aspect, analyzes the expression artistic conception through the chinese traditional aesthetics.
