Vocabulary is one of the basic elements of learning English and is seen as the foundation in communicating and expressing the meanings. Having a good knowledge of the word is one of most important skills in English learning. When you have a good command of too many words, you can make it possible to understand the materials that are very difficult and complicated. If you have an extremely limited reading vocabulary, it is very difficult for you to read complicated reading materials. Obviously, vocabulary forms a huge obstacle for the poor reader. The more words you memorize, the faster you read the article. Thus, it is essential for you to memorize words as much as possible. Certain words then have a very high occurrence and are used over and over again. The English vocabulary is so vast that you cannot hope to master vocabulary only by learning your lessons in the classroom. When faced with unknown vocabulary, You have to develop strategies, which will allow you either to discover the meaning of the words or at least to advance further with the text in spite of not knowing the meanings of some new words. Guessing the meanings of the words is a very efficient way.In 2003, The standard of English curriculum was announced officially. According to the book, it’s essential to memorize words and master the ways of how to memorize words in order that you can improve your ability, guessing the meaning of words that you are not familiar with. And the students can master the words in a flexible way.So the words and word combination are of great importance to English learners. In view of the vital importance of vocabulary, many researchers and linguistics at home and aboard have made a lot of efforts to the study vocabulary learning and teaching in the last few years and obtained many valuable results. Guided learning plan is a new approach to language which gives a new insight into words teaching. In this study the author holds an opinion that with the help of guidance teaching model in English vocabulary teaching, it is whether makes a giant difference to English learners.
