The classic of poetry is the important bibliography for us to know about the lives of the pre-qin. The scholars from generation to generation had pay more attention to study it, the peak period of studying it involving the Han, Song, Qing dynasties. The Hans attached great importance to explain. They integrated classics with politics closely, which became an important tool for governer’s thought. From the view of moral principle, sung people had a new understanding by the presentation of the classic of poetry. While defending traditional moral principles were also its foundation, therefore this period of study of the classic of poetry still gave priority to enlightenment. Qing gave priority to textual research, and returned to the sinology, through which making the study of the classic of poetry inherit and develop. This article will focus on the representative studying work of “the classic of poetry, national customs” in these three periods, and analysis the aspects of the style, the poem decree, and the reasons for difference.The first chapter mainly explain the change of style.Through poem decree location layout, placement of words significance interpretation method, and psalm structure analysis methods to explore the style change.The second chapter makes a contrast analysis of the difference of interpretation of poetry. By studying the “ Mao shi xu”, comparing between the poetry, summarizing the type of the poem to make comprehensive analysis on the differences, and through combining the difference in time background, look for causes to explain the differences.The third chapter explains the reasons for difference.First of all, through the combination of with the time background, the paper analyzes different aspects of interpreters for “the classic of poetry, national customs”; Next, from the point of paper, which analyses the text of the differences between "poem" and "MAO poetry" in the form of table analysis; last, from the point of explain, it is divided into two types: in context meaning and to log interpretation in order to classify and induce the words of “national customs”.
