Lao-tzu and Heidegger are two very important philosopher in the history of Chinese and European philosophy. Lao-tzu has begun a China philosophy of Taoist school, and Heidegger is a important philosopher in the modern philosophy history. While Lao-tzu and Heidegger were living in a different time and space, they have had a profound impact on the development of their own philosophy. Based on the thinking mode of philosophy as the angle of view, the paper attempts to use the comparative method to compare with the mode and inherent characteristics of philosophy thinking, in order to find out the similarities and differences between them, in order to deepen the study of Lao-tzu and Heidegger.The first chapter analyses the origin mode of philosophical thinking of Lao-tzu and Heidegger. The origin of Lao-tzu’s philosophy thinking mode is "tao". "Tao" is unspeakable, it fundamentally determines the uniqueness of Lao-tzu’s philosophy thinking mode. The origin of Heidegger’s philosophy thinking mode is "Zein". "Zein" is not defined as “Tao”, it also tell itself clearly, so it decides the fundation of Heidegger’s unique phenomenological method.The second chapter analyzes the general method of Lao-tzu and Heidegger’s thinking. Lao-tzu’s "Elimination of Mystery" as the following general method, has a similar characteristics as phenomenon "intuitive". The method of Heidegger’s phenomenology is the foundation of his philosophy, it begun from the early phenomenon method of "display". Understanding the meanings of "Elimination of Mystery" and phenomenology in their context, will help for us to understand Lao-tzu and Heidegger’s philosophical thinking mode.The third chapter will analysis the core characteristics of Lao-tzu and Heidegger’s philosophical thinking on the basis of the first two chapters. The core characteristics of Lao-tzu’s philosophy thinking mode is "Anti-reverse", and the core characteristics of Heidegger’s philosophy thinking mode is "Ereignis". The "Anti-reverse" and "Ereignis" have in common, they both have productive and reverse characteristics.The fourth chapter carries on the comparison of philosophy thinking mode of Lao-tzu and Heidegger. The common place between Lao-tzu and Heidegger’s philosophy thinking mode is that both think the world of reality in life,and the place is infinite. The way of philosophical thinking are the anti-reverse and intermediate. The difference between Lao-tzu and Heidegger’s philosophical thinking is reflected in their philosophical background. Lao-tzu’s thinking mode of philosophy reflects the non-systematic and metaphor, and Heidegger’s thinking mode of philosophy reflects the systematic and concept.
