There are abundant tourism resources in Jiangxi Province, such as the unique tourism brand---red tourism, the abundant eco-tourism brand---green tourism and the Ganpo culture with a long history---the patina tourism. Since the reform and opening up, tourism industry in Jiangxi Province has made great progress. However, the domestic market is the major body for the development of tourism industry in Jiangxi Province, and the foreign markets need to be further developed. Therefore, the author believes that it is essential to carry out C-E translation of Jiangxi tourism text to attract foreign tourists.The translation report, based on Jiangxi tourism text, attempts to explore the translation strategies or methods of Jiangxi tourism text from skopos theory. Skopos theory takes readers as the core of translation, claiming that translators should convey the cultural information in source texts according to the purpose of translation. Skopos theory focuses on the purposes and functions of translation; therefore, it is an operational and instructive guideline of the tourism translation.The translation report consists of five parts. The first part gives a brief introduction to the source of the translation task, the content of the translation and the significance of the text translation. In the second part, the author describes the translation process, such as preparation, tools and stages of the translation. In the third part, the author discusses the theory. In this part, the skopos theory is systematically analyzed while the classification of tourism text is discussed. Besides, the application of the skopos theory to tourism text is discussed. In the fourth part, the author analyzes the differences of Chinese and English tourism text in language and culture. In the fifth part, the author analyzes how to handle the language and culture differences and summarizes the translation methods or translation strategies from the perspective of the skopos theory. In the last part, the author summarizes what the author has learnt from the practice.
