The Research On The Image In The Form Of Contemporary Oil Painting In Crane

Oil painting plays a significant role in the contemporary art and the contemporariness of which is mainly reflected through the modern art creation concepts and the modern painting language forms. The contemporary oil painting displays the modernity of the work itself, as well as the perception of “Contemporary” from the artists based on the contemporary social life, which is the painter’s individual subjective art reflection of current life. The expression forms of contemporary oil painting language, including design, color, material and so on, is emphasized on the personality orientation, while the expression contents pay more attention to the scopes such as culture, ethnic and geography.Crane image has a unique position in the five-thousand-year Chinese history. Crane has been recognized as a symbol of good wills and first-class bird. The combination of crane image and contemporary oil painting language expression forms will be of great significance for the inheritance and developments of crane image in China. However there are still some problems existing in the crane image oil painting creation, first of all, the original art creation based on the crane image is rare in Chinese contemporary oil painting field. Also the outdated concepts, single method and the lack of contemporariness and unique individual characteristics of the artists are the problems associated with the research and exploration of the traditional crane-image oil painting. On the basis of the essence of crane image culturally, oil painting expression languages of geography and ethnic will be formed through the research on the developments in expression of the crane-image oil painting and contemporary oil painting in China.The paper contains four parts. The first part analyzes the current situation of crane-image culture in China and the situation in the contemporary oil painting both at home and abroad, as well as the basic expression of crane-image oil painting as well as the problems associated with it. The second part illustrates the cultural connotation of crane image domestically and foreign. The third part explains the historic developments and demonstrations of contemporary oil painting. The fourth part summarizes the expression forms of the crane-image in the contemporary oil painting creation, and then proposes the language expression forms of crane image including design, color and material in contemporary oil painting.
